Linking technology, intersectionality and surveillance: discussing with Shoshana Magnet

Following her presentation Stripping for Security?  Sexism, Racism, Transphobia and Backscatter X-Rays, Shoshana Magnet explains the paradoxes emerging as this new technology takes over our airports. She found another example of the institutionalized forms of violence towards certain communities, especially trans populations. In this video she shares the findings of the research that she conducted with her colleague Tara Rodgers. She also addresses her future research directions.
